How PTSD Can Lead to Sleep Apnea in Veterans

Many veterans suffer from both Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA)—and growing research supports a strong connection between the two. Veterans with PTSD are significantly more likely to have sleep apnea than the general population. In fact, one study found that nearly 48% of combat veterans with PTSD had sleep apnea, compared to just 12.5% of healthy individuals. (more…)
